Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from the User in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when the Users visits our site, registers on the site, places an order, fills out a form, responds to a survey, subscribes to our newsletter(s) and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on the Site. The User may be asked for, where required, name, email address, mailing address and credit card information.
PearTreePond will collect personal identification information from the User only if they voluntarily submit such information. The User can always refuse to supply personally identifiable information, which may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities.
Non-personal identification information
PearTreePon may collect non-personal identification information about the User whenever the User interacts with the Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about the User’s means of connection to the Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilised and other similar information.

PearTreePond collects and uses the User’s personal information for the following purposes:

To send the User information the User agreed to receive about topics PearTreePond thinks will be of interest to the User.

The User’s email address provided for order processing will only be used to send the User information and updates pertaining to the User’s order. Furthermore, the email address may also be used to respond to the User’s inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. If the User decides to opt-in to PearTreePond’s mailing list(s), the User will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, PearTreepond includes detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. Alternatively, the User may contact PearTreePond via the Site.
How PearTreePond protects your information
PearTreePond adopts appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of the User’s personal information, such as username, password, transaction information and data stored on the Site.
Sensitive and private data exchanged between the Site and the User takes place over an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.
Sharing the User’s personal information
PearTreePond does not sell, trade, or rent the User’s personal identification information to third parties. PearTreePond may share generic, aggregated, demographic information not linked to any personally identifiable information regarding visitors and users with PearTreePond’s business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. PearTreePond may use third-party service providers to help operate the business and the Site or administer activities on PearTreePond’s behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. PearTreePond may share the User’s information with these third parties for these limited purposes insofar this has been permitted by the User.
Third party websites
The User may find advertising or other content on the Site that links to sites and services of PearTreePond’s partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. PearTreePond does not control the content or links that appear on these sites and is not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Site. Additionally, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to the Site, are subject to that website’s own terms and policies. PearTreePond’s obligations to remove or block the use of information under generally applicable laws remain unaffected by this as per §§ 8 to 10 of the Telemedia Act (TMG). Responsibility for the content of external links (to web pages of third parties), lies solely with the operators of the linked pages. No violations were evident to PearTreePond at the time of linking. Should any legal infringement become known to PearTreePond, the respective link will be removed immediately.
Acceptance of these terms
By using the Site, the User signifies acceptance of this policy and the terms of service. If the User does not agree with this policy, please refrain from using the Site. The User’s continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed the User’s acceptance of these changes.

PearTreePond’s web pages and their contents are subject to German copyright law. Unless expressly permitted by law (§ 44a et seq. of the copyright law), every form of utilising, reproducing or processing works subject to copyright protection on this Site requires the prior consent of the respective owner of the rights. Individual reproductions of a work are allowed only for private use, so must not serve either directly or indirectly for earnings. Unauthorised utilisation of copyrighted works is punishable (§ 106 of the copyright law).
