If you need to return your purchase, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be aware of the special conditions that apply to digital products!
Even though a customer usually has the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days from placing the order, this right of revocation is restricted for digital products according to § 356 Abs. 5 BGB:
The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if the contractual partner of the customer has begun to provide the service with the expressed consent of the customer before the end of the revocation period or the customer has initiated it himself (e.g. by download etc.).
In plain English, this means that digital products are not returnable, and once you check this box at check-out:you agree that you give up your right of revocation.
Unfortunately, these legal measures are necessary to protect the shop from people who download the products, use them and then decide they want their money back. That’s like ordering a hot dog, eating it and then asking the seller to refund you… Similar reasons cause me to limit the number of downloads to 5 per product. Meaning: When you buy one of my digital products, you will be able to download it no more than 5 times. That way people won’t pay once and then share the download link with everyone on the Internet. I hope I don’t spook you with all these legal considerations! And I hope you understand why these measures are necessary (I really, really wish they weren’t…). What can I say? I’m living in Germany – they like rules here… Lots of them. Rest assured that I test all my products before offering them for sale to ensure that you get a high-quality product.
