1. Tailwind

If you’ve been blogging for a while, you’ve probably noticed that promoting your content usually takes even longer than producing said content.

Which is why automating some or all of your promotions can give you a huge chunk of your time back.

Therefore I’d like to introduce you to my favorite scheduling tool first. *drumroll* πŸ™‚

Since my favorite platform is Pinterest, I use Tailwind to automate a big portion of my Pins.

What Tailwind is

It’s the official Pinterest scheduler, but you can also use it to schedule your Instagram posts.

How Tailwind helps you

There are lot of features that I love about Tailwind.

It’s not just the fact that it allows you to batch all your pinning instead of having to log into Pinterest each and every day and pin manually.

I mean, yeah, that’s awesome and a big time saver! I’m all for the set-and-forget kind of approach when it comes to promoting content on social media.

But Tailwind does so much more than that!

It lets you schedule your Pinterest or Instagram posts at exactly the times when your audience is most likely to engage with them. More bang for your buck – how cool is that??

Or you can use Tailwind tribes to further your reach. Let me tell you, they are a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Seriously. Pinterest group boards never seemed to do much for me, but Tailwind tribes do.

Here’s a screenshot of one of my tribes:

Increase your reach with Tailwind tribes; example

See this? Through that one tribe alone, I increased my reach by 1.1 million!

So you save a ton of extra work promoting your content when you find a great tribe with awesome tribe members that help you spread the word.

Let’s move on before I get too carried away! πŸ˜‰

But here’s some more info on how Tailwind can help you optimize your Pinterest/Instagram marketing, in case you’d like to learn more.

Tailwind Pricing

2. Easil

The second cool tool that I use a lot and that I think could save you a ton of time, is Easil.

If you’re not a professional designer and are lost when it comes to graphic design and making your blog look pretty, Easil is definitely a tool to try.

What Easil is

It’s an online graphic design program like Canva with lots of easily customizable templates and assets to choose from.

I’ve tried both, Canva and Easil, and personally I prefer to work with Easil.

I use Easil to quickly make blog graphics like this one:

Obviously, it all comes down to personal preferences and you have to figure out which graphic design tool works best for you.

But if you’ve tried Canva and aren’t convinced but at the same time aren’t ready to buy costly graphic design software, this might be a good alternative for you.

How Easil helps you

Easil will help you create professional-looking graphics in no time at all.

Without needing an expensive designer or spending hours trying to understand complicated graphic design software.

Free version available.

Plus plans start at $7.50/month.

3. Grammarly

Whenever you create content, you’ll inevitably make the occasional spelling or grammar mistake, right?

Therefore you need someone to proofread and double-check your content.

At least you need someTHING to go over your writing. Enter: Grammarly.

What Grammarly is

Grammarly is an online grammar checking, spell checking, and plagiarism detection platform.

How Grammarly helps you

Well, this should be pretty self-explainatory: It checks all your writing for spelling and grammar mistakes.

Thus you don’t have to wait for someone else to find all those typos for you!

Truth be told, it doesn’t always catch all mistakes. But if you’re in a hurry and you can’t wait for someone to go through your posts, it’s definitively much better than not having your writing checked at all.

Grammarly Pricing

Free version available.

Professional plans start at $11.66/month (billed as one annual payment of $139.95 USD).

4. Dropbox

Have different machines you’re working on – say your laptop and a desktop computer – and the file you’re just looking for is ALWAYS on the other machine? #murphyslaw

Don’t tell me you carry a USB stick around all the time and transfer your files…

Here’s the better solution: Dropbox.

What Dropbox is

Dropbox is a file hosting service that lets you access and share your files from any location.

How Dropbox helps you

Dropbox makes it easy to save all your important files in one place and to access them from wherever you want.

No more copying files from one device to another or sending large files via Email. Yay!

That’s where LastPass is gonna save your sanity.
